Off-road Powerhouse Gets Stealth Look

For people who like to explore the back country around Payson and the Mogollon Rim, you can’t do any better than the Ram Rebel. This off-road monster comes with a factory lift kit, 33-inch aggressive tires, skid plates, special shocks and tow hooks to help you overcome any obstacle that might pop up on the trail. The recent Detroit Auto Show was the scene of the unveiling of the new Rebel Black package that includes a number of special features to make your truck unique. “Adding the Rebel Black package to an already aggressive off-road truck will continue feeding the momentum Rebel is creating for the Ram Truck brand,” according to Mike Manley, Ram Brand chief.  Stay in touch with the folks at Chapman Payson to see when the Rebel Black Ram will make its first appearance.

Custom Features Adorn Rebel Black

The Ram Rebel is already a unique looking truck, with its high lift and aggressive stance, but the Rebel Black takes the look a step farther with black anodized door bezels as well as black trim on the console, gauge cluster and instrument panel. The heated seats are also black with “Rebel” embroidery and gray stitching. You can opt for premium black leather seats if you wish. The Ram Rebel Black is only available in crew cab but you do have a choice of a 5.7L HEMI V8 powerhouse or the 3.6L Pentastar V6.

Ram Leading the Way Since 2009

Ever since the Ram truck brand was launched as a stand-alone division of Fiat Chrysler America in 2009, it has emerged as one of the industry leaders for hauling, towing and off-road fun. By separating the truck business from the cars and SUVs, Ram executives have focused on the needs and wants of customers who have varying requirements of pickup trucks. The result has been a wide choice of options from standard work trucks to highly sophisticated vehicles with premium trim. Look over all the options at your next trip to Chapman Payson, but pay particular notice to how the new Ram Rebel can make your next off-road exploration a lot more fun.

Some of the industry-leading features of the Ram lineup include:

  • Use of link coil springs and air suspension to deliver best-in-class ride
  • Only full-size pickup to offer diesel option in 1/2 ton category
  • Best in class towing for gas engine
  • Most interior room
  • Most capable off-road pickup in the Power Wagon, or as we like to call it, the pickup version of “The Incredible Hulk.”

Newest Addition to Minivan Field Just Keeps Adding Firsts

The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica minivan is the only entrant in that field to earn Top Safety Pick + honors from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). This is in addition to the highest possible safety rating from the National Highway Safety Administration, making the Pacifica the indisputable champion of minivan safety. “With more than 100 available safety and security features, everything from Forward Collision Warning to 360-degree Surround View Camera to the ability to parallel park itself, the all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is designed and built to check the box on key attributes many families value above all-others – safety and security,” according to Chrysler car brand chief Tim Kuniskis. Head to Chapman Payson for a test drive of the new Pacifica today.

Tests Cover Five “Crashworthy” Evaluations

The IIHS conducts five different tests of each vehicle to determine the result of different kinds of impacts. These tests replicate what would happen if you had a side impact with a larger vehicle, two different types of offset front crashes, a rollover and a rear impact where a driver or passenger could get whiplash. Chrysler engineers generated computer studies to help determine the best body design, then implemented that design using high-strength steel in 72 percent of the construction. The engineering studies also helped Chrysler design a structure that divides the crash energy among multiple components, funneling as much as possible away from the interior.

Driver Assist Features Help Avoid Collisions

The best way for no one to be injured in a crash, of course, is to avoid the collision in the first place. The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica has an Automatic Emergency Braking system that earned a superior rating from the IIHS. The system utilizes a combination of radar and cameras to identify a potential crash, alert the driver, and then apply the brakes if the driver fails to react. This is just one of 100 safety features the new Pacifica offers. Talk to the pros at Chapman Payson today to see why this is the perfect vehicle for transporting your loved ones.

Six Models Available

Including the new hybrid model, the Chrysler Pacifica has six different configurations to fit buyers of every need and pocket book. The base LX comes with Chrysler’s patented Stow ’n Go seating, where the second and third row seats fold neatly into the floor. It also has active noise cancellation and a rear view camera as standard equipment. Step up to the Touring model for power sliding doors, while the Touring L adds leather trimmed seats that are heated for the driver and front passenger. The Touring L plus adds a theater for your rear occupants, while the Limited offers the height of sophistication, with Nappa leather seats and a panoramic sunroof.
